Statement by Blue Earth Diagnostics on COVID-19
Commitment in the Face of COVID-19
At Blue Earth Diagnostics, we develop and provide PET diagnostic imaging and therapeutic radiopharmaceutical products to help people with serious disease, such as cancer. COVID-19 has brought unprecedented changes to our world, and our hearts go out to all the people who have been affected by this disease. Amid the challenges of COVID-19, Blue Earth Diagnostics stands committed to supporting those parts of life that matter most: health and well-being.
The health and safety of Blue Earth Diagnostics employees and our communities is our first and foremost priority
To limit the spread of COVID-19, we are doing all that we can to support patients, healthcare professionals, our employees, their families and loved ones, and the communities where we live and work. Our actions are informed by national health and disease control organization guidelines, geographically-specific legislation, science, and thoughtfully considered, people-centric approaches. We are providing our employees with guidance and information regarding appropriate safety measures relating to meetings, travel restrictions, remote working policies, and health and safety. Being mindful of employee and community safety, we are currently operating in a work-from-home environment, with plans underway for careful and selective re-opening, where and when appropriate
Our sincere appreciation goes out to all healthcare professionals who are fighting serious disease and helping to protect public health.
Healthcare professionals and the entire healthcare workforce are fearlessly putting themselves on the front lines in battling COVID-19, and we share our deepest thanks to everyone who is engaged in selfless efforts to help patients and protect the health of our communities. Blue Earth Diagnostics is committed to ensuring that we continue to support healthcare professionals throughout this time. While in working-from-home mode, we are deploying safe, virtual technology to conduct fieldcalls, educational webinars and remote clinical site visits, as appropriate. Our field teams remain available to address questions that the healthcare community and payers may have.
We empathize with patients, who face the biggest challenges in the COVID-19 landscape.
The needs of all patients are particularly acute during this time. Patients with cancer face additional anxiety and stress. Many may be vulnerable and have concerns about personal safety in entering a healthcare facility where they could be exposed to COVID-19. Others may be concerned about signs of potential changes in their condition, and whether access to PET scan procedures that can inform medical decision-making management may be limited. Blue Earth Diagnostics is doing its utmost to ensure that patients with serious disease can continue to have access to PET scans that may help guide decisions about their care. As appropriate, we remain in contact with patient groups and are developing resources to help support patients coping with the added challenges imposed by COVID-19.
We are committed to ensuring that products are readily available for physicians and patients.
We work closely with our manufacturers, distributors and other trusted partners to manage and monitor supply chain activities, and foresee no impact resulting from COVID-19, at this time. Blue Earth Diagnostics is in regular contact with customers, study investigators and clinical research organizations to assess their potential needs in this rapidly changing healthcare landscape. To address the needs of healthcare facilities and patients, we are planning for production flexibility in specific geographies, as conditions may warrant.
Amid the challenges of COVID-19, we have hope, and we look to the future.
We are optimistic that the horizon of hope in overcoming COVID-19 will continue to expand, and that solutions and therapeutic approaches will emerge through the dedicated efforts of medical researchers and scientists around the world. As medical institutions lift restrictions on non-emergency procedures, including PET scans for patients with cancer that may have been delayed, Blue Earth Diagnostics will be ready. We have active preparations underway for selective and well-considered re-opening activities in full accordance with national, regional, and local requirements, as well as those of individual institutions. All of our re-opening activities will be conducted with the safety and health of our employees, their families and loved ones, patients, healthcare workers and the communities where we live top of mind. We understand the important decisions that patients with cancer may be making as PET scans that may have been delayed are being scheduled. We want you to know that we will be here if, and whenever, you are ready.
At our core, Blue Earth Diagnostics is all about helping patients. We continue to work tirelessly toward that goal so that more people can enjoy good health and positive well-being.
